and Civil Crisis"

On Saturday, November 3rd General Musharraf declared a "State of
Emergency" in Pakistan. The series of events that preceded and followed this
declaration give rise to important issues, some of which will be addressed
in this discussion including the role of the media; terrorism & "war on
terror"; civil society activism; involvement of the international community;
and technology & its use in protests.
