Rally - Karachi - Nov 29, 2007

Venue: Outside Geo/Jang building, Off I.I. Chundrigar RoadTime: 7.30 - 9.00Date: Tuesday November 29The Peoples Resistance is a growing coalition of members of civil society including journalists, social workers, artists, students, among other occupational groups. We have been holding flash protests, doing graffiti, circulating posters, meeting with the judges deposed by the PCO, and are starting teach-ins at schools and colleges shortly. Tuesday's event aims to widen the loop of people looking to re-instate the non-PCO judiciary and to reverse the muzzling of the media that has come with the Emergency -- or at the very least to register protest -- through music, art, and theatre. There will be short performances and songs to sing along to as well as some interactive art. So come raise your voice with the chorus against autocratic and self-serving rule to be part of a growing resistance movement.
